Ancient Egypt Project Guidelines/Rubric

Ancient Egypt Project

Your assignment is to research the Ancient Egyptian civilization.  After doing so, you will create a travel brochure persuading ancient people to travel to Egypt.  You will use your book, resources from the library, LibGuides and the internet during class.  You are more than welcome to do research outside of class; however I will give you 5 class periods to work on this project.

You are expected to complete a travel brochure. This brochure will contain 6 sections. Each fold should represent one of the below topics, except the last fold which will have your name & class period.

1.     Social classes

2.     Government

3.     Hieroglyphics

4.     Pyramids

5.     Nile River

Each fold should contain at least three facts.  Each fact counts as five points toward your total grade

Rubric:

All folds decorated: 15 points (3 points per fold)

Names & period on back fold: 10 points

3 facts on each fold:  75 points (5 points per individual fact)

All book citations must be in MLA format
