Ancient Egypt Project Guidelines/Rubric

Ancient Egypt Project

Your assignment is to research a topic of Ancient Egyptian society.  You will complete the research portion of the project on your own.  Mrs. Walton at the media center will show you the resources available to you for this project.  You will need to use at least one source from the media center.  You will need to create a digital notecard for the source and cite it using Noodle Tools.

You will (along with your classmates with the same topic) create an exhibit for our Ancient Egypt Classroom Museum.  Your exhibit needs to have all the required information on it.  Your group will then create a video explaining your exhibit and the information on it.  This video will be uploaded in the FlipGrid Program.  Each person in the group will be required to speak on the video.

You will be given a graphic organizer to take notes from your classmates’ exhibits.

You will use your book, resources from the library and the internet during class.  You are more than welcome to do research outside of class, however I will give you ____ class periods to work on this project.

Topics include:

1.     Social classes

2.     Government

3.     Hieroglyphics

4.     Pyramids

5.     Geography/Nile River (including defenses)

6.     Contributions

7.     Religion
