Your storyboard MUST have 6 separate sections

 

I.          (16 Points)  Your first section is labeled “Geography”. (txbk p. 225-226)

            Under this section you have:

1.       Draw & color a map of China.  Make sure you label everything!

2.      How much  of China’s land is farmable?

3.      ____&_____ cover the land

4.      The Mountains & Deserts acted like a _____ around China. What did this cause?

 

II.        (16 Points) Your second section is labeled “Writing” (txbk p. 228)

            Under this section you have:

1.       A hand-drawn picture of an oracle bone.

2.      What are oracle bones? How do they work?

3.      Define pictographs.

4.      Define ideograph.

  

 III.      (16 Points) Your third section is labeled “Government” (txbk pp. 229-231)

            Under this section you have:

1.       A hand-drawn picture that represents an aristocrat.

2.      Who started the Zhou dynasty? Why did he start it?

3.      The Zhou and Shang had different governments, Name the ruler/leader of both dynasties.

4.      How did the Zhou dynasty copy the Shang dynasty?

           

 IV.      (16 Points) Your fourth section is labeled “Contributions” (txbk pp. 229-231 & 234-235)

            Under this section you have:       

                        1.         A hand-drawn symbol or picture that represents contributions from Ancient China

                        2.         Shang artists used what types of stone and metals to make objects?

                        3.         List what new contributions the Zhou dynasty had in Farming.

                        4.         List the new contributions the Zhou dynasty had for battle & war.

 

V.        (16 Points) Your fifth section is labeled “Social Classes” (txbk pp. 233-235)

1.         A hand-drawn picture that represents the social classes of Ancient China

2.         List who was in each social class

3.         What were farmers forced to do with their crops?

4.         Farmers used Terrace Farming, describe what this is.

 

VI.         (16 Points)  Your sixth section is labeled “Family Life” (txbk pp. 234-235)

1.         A hand-drawn picture that represents filial piety.

2.         Chinese families practiced filial piety. What is it?

3.         What role in life did Chinese men have?

4.         What role in life did Chinese women have?

 

 

VII.     (4 Points)  On the back of your paper write your name and attach this rubric

 

                         PROJECT NEAT AND COMPLETED WITH EACH STEP EARNS 100 POINTS.
